Guggenheim Real Estate invests across the spectrum of the real estate market, including directly-owned properties, public market equity, private equity (open-end) funds, public debt securities, and high-yield private (mezzanine) debt.

The Problem

  • Partner firms--providing asset and property management services--use a variety of property accounting systems, such as Yardi, Oracle/J.D.Edwards, and Intuit/MRI.  Each partner also has its own chart of accounts, complicating the process of collecting, aggregating, and consolidating results.
  • Commercial general ledger systems for fund accounting did not meet firm's requirements.

The Solution

  • Implemented a "monthly package" using AssetEye's built-in workflow manager.  The simple tabbed-display presented all pertinent asset-level financials and captured the property manager's executive summary and comments on variances and delinquencies.
  • AssetEye customized to contain and report data from the variety of ad hoc solutions.
  • Created a collection of standard reports for asset managers and designated them as "favorites".  Access to most common data with a single click from user's AssetEye home page.
